It looks like I might soon be managing a website for my local neighbourhood watch association.

I really like the look of your wordpress template and I was hoping that you might be willing to share it with me please. Which, of course, would save me the effort of having to do it myself.

Thanks in advance, Simon

Hello Simon,

Thanks for your email. I’d be happy to help you along with your project. This template is a free Wordpess Theme called Regulus.
It has a ‘custom header’ facility – which means that you can make your own header and upload it to the site, replacing the generic one.
This will give it your own distinctive appearance.

Your first step would be to register with wordpress.com, think of a good name for your group’s blog and sign up for a new blog under that name.
I’ll email you privately and if you call me I’ll talk you through the steps of configuring it to your group’s needs. WordPress documentation is pretty good, the interface is pretty intuitive
and it is one of those things that you can pick up as you go along.

Alternatively you could hire me to set one up for you? I’m pleased to help design web and print media for non-profit groups. Check out my website?

I cannot charge you for the blog because it is a free provision from WordPress.com, but I can configure it for you at my ‘mate’s rate’ of £10 per hour. It would take me about two hours to set up properly if you can provide me with your information and images by email.

Best wishes,

Charles
