Police are investigating the loss of 12 Llyeyn sheep from a field close to the junction of the B6260 (Appleby to Orton road). The sheep are white faced and went missing over the last six weeks. if you believe you may be able to help police with their enquiries, or believe the sheep may have strayed into your flock please call the non emergency police number 101 and leave a message for PC 7557 Rob Ewin. Farmers in the area should also be on the look out for suspicious vehicles and count their stock on a regular basis during the lambing and breeding period.
