Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service are hosting some HeartStart Instructor Training courses (delivered by North West Ambulance Service) as follows:
Monday 16th January @ Barrow Fire Station (9.30am – 4pm)
or
Tuesday 24th January @ Fire Service Headquarters (9.30am – 4pm)
The course covers :
- Contacting the emergency services
- Putting a casualty into the recovery position
- Dealing with a suspected heart attack
- Suggestions of what to do when somebody is choking
- Dealing with a casualty who is bleeding
- Performing CPR
Alternatively, if you would prefer us to deliver a 2 x hour course for a group in your area, please let me know and we can arrange this for you.
Training & courses are delivered for FREE and certificates of attendance awarded.

Following an investigation by Cumbria County Council"s Trading Standards team, a pub in South Lakeland has been fined for selling substituted and dangerous alcohol.
Representatives from both the public and private sector are pushing the case for Cumbria to continue to be a key player in the future of the global energy industry this week.
County councillors in Allerdale have agreed to over £9,000 worth of grant funding to communities and organisations to help fund local initiatives, at last week"s Local Committee.
